Across Table

She’s sitting across the table,
Legs crossed,
I feel my knees tremble,
Like a goat ready for a feast roast.

Her feet touch mine by design,
I could tell that was a sign,
I could start to count the luck of mine,
I made my smile shine.
 
Our legs locked,
The knee caps kissed as they knocked,
All gestures and no talk,
Couldn’t wait with her to take a walk.

The meeting ended,
We said hi,
She pulled me to a side door,
Helpless I couldn’t say no.
 
The room was dark,
I could feel her rack,
A deal done not a prank,
Later I’d say thanks.

I was out of my world,
Asleep among the crowd,
Dreaming without a doubt,
Yes she was still across the table,
And from my dream I’d say I was able
