Still Alive

Black is power
To her pursuit of the tower
It makes sour
Perplexed tears I pour
For she was a blessing shower
A strong African woman
An ever smiling human

From dust we come
Into the dust we leave
To us she was a sun
Always shining to us, her daughters and sons
A moon in the dark night
Always lighting to tall heights
A star in the sky
Twinkles to lift our spirits high

If it’s a choice
God has a good taste of voice
God is always in what he makes
A good choir member of angels she would make
Forever singing sweet songs to keep all awake
Our mother in heart please don’t take

Thank you mum
To you our love belong
Our dreams we will realize it won’t take long
To the world we will prove wrong
That your Father is ours for long
To Him we belong
For you will stay strong
We love you.
